Blog Update!
I've just spent a bit of time reading the posts on the blog and wanted to share my heart a bit with everyone. I'm glad to see everyone starting to use it. It makes me really happy when I read about someone asking for a song, and I see that someone else has posted it for them. That's what this site was created for, so we may all share, so we may all worship to the songs we love to listen to at full volume.
Thank you to everyone that has made this site so awesome. We want to make February bigger than ever. I challange you to take a minute to email 10 people to tell them about the site. Encourage them to use the Blog. That's where the real community is. If we are not in contact with each other, we can't know the needs to the bunch. I know this site is great, but it isn't about us, it's about the body as a whole. It's about changing the face of Worship, it's about seeing the dream of Chris Tomlin, Louie Giglio, Matt Redman, and all the other visions of a new generation of worship come to pass.
Use the previous posts including Favorite Songs, Inspirational Stories/Testimonies, Passion06 notes, and Request New Songs.

Just beginning to learn the acoustic (I've always been a mandolin guy) and it's nice to have a simple reference site where I can play some basic chords along side my favorite worship songs.

QUESTION:
Is someone keeping this site current?
I don't see any dates mentioned around today's date of August 9, 2007.
Please help us to know if you have abandoned the site or not.
I think the site is excellent providing words to help us lay people to be able to learn the words of songs we sing in church or hear on the radio.
I hope you will keep up what you started. Your efforts are appreciated more than you know.

I don't like extreme loud music. You should be able to hear yourself singing and the congregation singing. If you can't then the music is too loud!
That being said I now want to talk about OLD HYMNS.
I agree with the person who asked if they can get the older hymns freshened up for the "not so old yet" congregation. I am 60 years old. I think the old songs are ok, but they go on and on stanza after stanza. When thy sometimes have difficult lyrics and extremely high melodies that are sung as if you are in a hurry to get through it, and we have to sing 4 or 5 stanzas, I can not get "into" the songs message like I do with the modern praise and worship. I like to sway with the music and let it wash over me.
Pull out one great part of the old hymns and expand on it, repeat it and SLOW IT DOWN. We need to pick out one excellent verse and create it into a modern version.
Repetition is helpful in getting people to memorize songs and for getting into the mood of the words and letting them PRICK YOUR HEART WITH THE MEANING OF THE WORDS. What do you think?
